Emily is an undergraduate student at Boise State University majoring in Psychological Science and minoring in Criminal Justice, set to graduate in December of 2026. Her areas of interest include trauma, the psychology of criminal behaviors, and mental health treatment in correctional settings. In the HDE Lab, Emily is a research assistant on various projects, including the InterGen Project, the Human Universals Project, and the Stress and Resilience Project. She is also a research assistant for Boise State faculty Dr. Christofalos, examining how attentional differences influence reading behavior. Outside of being a research assistant, she is the president of Boise State’s chapter of the National Criminal Justice Honors Society. Her professional goal is to work as a psychologist in correctional settings treating and rehabilitating justice-involved individuals. When Emily isn’t working on school projects or academic extracurriculars, you can find her exploring nature, listening to music, or reading a good book!
