Naya Liberty
Naya’s research interests include trauma, resilience, and community intervention. In the HDE lab, Naya focuses on the Human Universals of strength and resilience through life's stressors. She is also a McNair scholar conducting independent research under the guidance of Dr. Tedd McDonald, a faculty member from the Department of Psychological Science at Boise State University, about how individuals experience medical trauma. She aims to gain a deeper understanding of medical trauma survivors' experiences, create resources to support those with medical trauma, and advocate for change. Outside of the HDE lab, Naya volunteers as a court advocate with the Women's and Children's Alliance, is the president of Boise State’s chapter of Psi Chi International Honor Society in Psychology, and works as a certified nursing assistant (CNA) in a local hospital.
